DJ Fade does not bullshit on his mixtapes people. We fucking with the Clan today and truth be told it will always be Wu Tang Forever. You know what my favorite WU Tracks are? I got two of ’em. “Duck Season” off the Wu Tang Forever LP and “Projects” Remix (overseas release). I can listen to these joints at any time plus Wu has so much classic material it’s not even funny. Cats wanna talk about legends in the game, Wu Tang as a whole are living legends hands down.
I know, “C.R.E.A.M” is classic and so is “Wu Tang Ain’t Nothing To Fuck With” but “Protect Ya Neck” will incite a riot to this day. “First things first man/ you’re fucking with the worst”, is that shit. This is by far the joint that really set it off on Hip Hop for the WU. Ya’ll remember Ghost on “Ice Cream”? He was high posting on a track and Meth killed that hook too. “Winter Warz” was the shit when it dropped; think it was off a soundtrack. U-God caught wreck on this joint something fierce. I think DJs killed Daytona 500 on the double ups on damn near every mixtape that dropped when this track was out. The beginning of the track just begs you to fuck with the record. Cappadonna murdered “Wu Wear”, his slang was in outer space somewhere man.
Besides the CD being a little light on “Cuban Linx” joints the mix is cool as a fan. Fade uses a tight formula by just keeping it simple. The sound quality is tight and he hits you with a few rare joints as well. If you’re a WU head you got most of these tracks on the albums but it’s still always nice to pop in a CD and get a quick fix every now and then with out having to switch up mad CDs.
